On Friday 13th November we held a pyjama day in aid of Children in Need. All the children and, even the staff, arrived at the pre-school in their PJ’s, onesies, slippers and dressing gowns. The children thought it was funny coming to pre-school in their PJ’s and even funnier that the staff were not in their usual red tops but also ‘ready for bed!’ Have to say though, it was lovely and cosy being in PJ’s and a dressing gown all day, shame we can’t do it every day! Everyone paid a £1 donation which will be donated to a great cause and used to help many children and their families. Everyone had a fun day and we even went out over to the school playground to play for a short while although we didn’t look out of place because the St Nicholas children and staff were also dressed for bed too! Many thanks to everyone who took part and paid their donation.
Before half term we also had a coffee morning and fundraiser in aid of CRACKERJACK, a charity who help disabled children and their families by providing vital equipment. The children dressed as superheroes and princesses for the morning and many parents/carers stayed, drank coffee or tea and ate cake. Parents/carers also had the opportunity to look at their child’s Learning Journey, meet and chat with their child’s key person and other parents. Parents/carers played with their child and took part in a craft activity of making a hand print spider picture.
