At last we have come to the end of Spring Term and into the Easter Break. On Wednesday, during the last week of term, we invited our parents/carers to stay and play with their children. The children arrived in the morning, proudly wearing their very colourful homemade Easter bonnets or carrying their fabulous Easter baskets. Lots of parents/carers stayed to join in with the fun. After registration was over we had a visit from Anabel’s new chicks which all the children eagerly took turns in ‘gently’ holding before going off to play. We had the hairdressing salon out and some parents had their hair styled or spent time doing the children’s hair. There were lots of craft activities to make such as the super sheep on a paper plate and the beautiful bunny picture as well as vibrant potato masher paint stamping pictures and Easter nests to make for snack time. There was also face painting from the wonderful Hayley Smith who worked non-stop throughout the morning to paint the children’s faces and even the odd adult!! After all the crafts had been done the children paraded around the hall adorned with their Easter bonnets and baskets for judging. The winner for the best Easter bonnet was awarded to Anabel and the best basket was won by Lexis. Well done to both of them!! We also had a visit from the Easter Bunny who gave all the children an Easter Egg to take home.
On Thursday morning we joined St Nicholas School for their Easter service at the church and all of the pre-school children sat beautifully throughout listening to the older children perform and some even joined in with the songs. They did us and their parents proud!!
